what technology means to me

Technology may not be welcomed with open arms by everyone in our day and age, but to me it seems just like a new adventure. I have discovered that technology is a great tool and everyone should try their best to learn as much as they can about this new technology fad. I believe technology is a great source of assistance in studies, communication, and can also be used just for fun and recreation.
School in general is very difficult and challenging but technology can allow you to tackle the hardships of college. Technology can allow you to look up all different types of references to write a paper of any type. Technology can allow you to find articles from many years ago or read about a historical event that happened when you were too young to remember. The many advances with technology also help with grammar, spelling, and sentence structure while writing a paper. If ever you need help with guidelines to writing or anything you can find it on the internet which is extremely helpful. As a student I have used technology to help me in many aspects of my schooling. I have looked up articles on a controversial subject to do a persuasive speech. I also have used technology to better understand historical events that have been discussed in a class that I did not fully understand. Technology has helped me expand my grammar, improve my vocabulary, comprehend history better, and many other things that are very useful as a student.
Another very important reason technology is important is that it allows communication to be much easier than it used to be. Now all we have to do is pull out our cell phone to talk to a friend or relative that lives a great distance away, when many years ago they would have to write and deliver a letter on horse back. I think that most people over look this luxury simply because it is so easy to. We also can communicate with a professor or fellow student by email. If you yourself do not have a computer the library has plenty and also there are a few in the student center. If a business person wants to make a business transaction with china all they have to do is type them an email and then use a simple button to translate it then send the letter and the recipient gets it in no more than a couple of minutes. Americans have made great advances in technology and they should be taken advantage of.
A fun thing that technology has done for us is that it has made almost a different world in the advancement of games. We no longer all sit in a circle and play innocent board games, now we play virtual games. We can hunt wild game or play the cowboys in football on our new technologically advanced x-box 360 and play station three’s it is a broad world out there in the recreational side of the technology. And each day they come out with new games that make it the experience seem more real and vivid then the ones before it. Games that make you experience the battle field as though you are on the front line or dunk with Shaq just like you are a pro. We have come a long ways from our board games and dices it is a new exciting day and time.
It is brand new day and age where anything is possible and that is true because of the technological advances that have been reached in the last decades. From student and business studies to communication and games our technology has become a prominent excelling factor in the world today. I myself believe technology is a great thing and enjoy indulging myself in its many wonders.
