In this study done by Kristina K. Hardy and her collegues they due an experimental study on children's symptoms of ADHD who are in the age range of three to five. In this study all of the children tested showed at least one symptom of ADHD. The scientists conducted phone screenings just asking general questions about ADHD symptoms then they were invited to one of the PATS locations to complete the study. The parents took a test of sorts that asked them questions about their child in relation to ADHD and the symptoms that they have possessed. Then a similar test was given to the preshool teacher of the child so they too could inform the scientists of the childs behavior in realtion to ADHD. The study recognized that the parents and teachers could accuratly pick out at least two symptoms of ADHD in the child, but that parents were better at recognizing these symptomms. I belive that this study really was just used to study more young children because many under the age of six haven't been tested. It wasn't a bad study it just didn't really explain a lot I think it was just used to see if ADHD could be detected at such a young age. I am not sure if at three or four a child can be diagnosed with a learning disability such as ADHD. All children have a lack of attention of some sort at such a young age so I am not too sure that this is truly a genuine study to igknowledge as evidence that young children can be diagnosed with ADHD.

I think that this would be an inaccuarte study..studying children at such a young age for this disorder just doesn't make sense because kids are just beginning to develop mentally...
